Just finished the audiobook, "Cutting for Stone". If I tried to tell you what the book was about, you probably wouldn't read it. I can't do it justice, especially since it's not one of those books whose plot surrounds a particular event like a murder or natural disaster. This book was an example of excellent story-telling. I was convinced to go with the flow and experience life as the narrator did. It was a rewarding ride. Though I don't see myself listening to
the whole book again, I felt closure with this book after listening again to the prologue and the first chapter. I smiled to myself as I truly appreciate the the author and his writing of this book.
I am now reading Water for Elephants. I know it's a movie and I think it was nominated for an Oscar this year but I don't really care. Audible offered it to me for only $5 ( They know I'm a sucker for good audiobook and they keep teasing me with great discounts so I will keep buying. Darn them!) I heard the book is good. I was hooked after 11 minutes of listening. I'm pleased I chose this one; I already enjoy the story and the storyteller.
Of course I want to see the movie once I'm finished with the book but I'm nervous about that.
