Chain letters have moved to blogs!

Generally I don't care for chain letters. Correction: I hate when spammers get their jollies off from having other people spam their friends and their friends' friends. It's like network marketing gone very wrong.
However, this is not really a chain letter rather it's something like a chain letter. It's a blogging tool used to encourage fellow bloggers to keep typing and tell the world about yourself. So I must oblige. Thanks Jen!

Rules:
  • The tagged person must write their answers on their blog and replace any question they dislike with a new question formulated by themselves.
  • Tag 4 people to do this quiz; they cannot refuse (OK, so nothing bad will happen if you don’t participate but I would love to see your answers). The tagee must state who tagged them.
I don't have many blogging friends who haven't already been tagged. I guess I need to get my numbers up!

1. If you have pets do you see them as merely animals or are they members of your family?
I don't have any pets right now but I've had pets. I acknowledge that they are animals but I recognize that they become family members. That's actually why I don't have any right now. I already have 3 children and I don't want any more. I my house, having a pet would be too much like having another another kid. The food, doctor's appointments, pet sitting, grooming - ouch my head hurts. I do enjoy pet sitting though..

2. If you could have a dream come true, what would it be?
Duh! To have unlimited dreams come true! But seriously, I want my PhD. I believe I want to be a Social Psychologist. However, recently I've found myself interested in the field of Behavioral Economics. Either way I've dreamed of having a doctorate degree for as long as I can remember.

3. What would you do with a billion dollars?A billion dollars is a lot of money. What couldn't I do with a billion dollars?! Top on my list is to be able to take my family (parents and siblings included) places to see and do things we just can't afford to do now. I'd also evaluate my God-given talents combined that with my wealth and apply them both to addressing the needs of my favorite charities and social issues. That would be my new full time job.

4. What helps to pull you out of a bad mood?
Chocolate (chocolate covered pretzels & german chocolate cake & Lindt truffles)
Funny movies (Meet the Parents, Meet the Fockers, America Pie)
Time Alone -To walk around outside the lake at the park or watching a funny movie
Music - My emotions are controlled by music. The right songs really can make me feel better.

5. What's is your bedtime routine?
Get kids to bed * glass of wine (except during lent) * Laundry * Watch some TV * Talking (or better yet) not talking ;) ;) with my husband - What? TMI? Sorry!

6. Name something that has surprised you this week about motherhood.
Just did a ranting blog about it. I was surprised that my kid would act disappointed about my spur of the moment plan to go to Carowinds just because we weren't spending the night in a hotel. On top of that I was forced to realize that I've done the same thing to my mom. *sigh*

7. What kind of books do you read?
I love reading. By "reading" I mean "listening to". I'm an avid audiobook "reader". My favorite books from this past year....Outlander, Something borrowed, Water for Elephants, Lovely Bones, Freakanomics, and Predictably Irrational.

8. How do you see yourself in 10 years?
10 years older, with almost grown well-adjusted kids on a long caribbean cruise with just my husband. Wait!!! I just realized that 10 years from now all my kids will be in college at UNC-CH ( Go Heels!) and I might possibly be suffering from empty nest syndrome and emptywalletness disease. We'll just have to see what happens, eh?

9. What’s your fear?
Not being able to see myself 10 years from now just as I envision in question 8.

10. Would you give up all junk food for the rest of your life for the opportunity to see outer space?
Nah. I'm ok looking at other people's outer space photos on Flickr while munching on some chips.

11. What’s the first thing you do when you wake up?
Kiss my husband. On the check or arm or chest ( cause I haven't brushed my teeth yet).

12. If you could change one thing about your significant other, what would it be?
Nothing. Seriously. He's not perfect. I've just learned that it is easier to accept him as he is instead of trying to change him in anyway.
