So I put a hole in the cartilidge of my upper ear yesterday as my private (baby) step into the wild side (of me - more on this later). Most people call it mid-life crisis for short. The BIG 4-0 is right around the corner.
My experience at "Femme Fatale" was a good one. The process was short and not too painful. It was only $20 and maybe 15 minutes. There was a legal waiver I had to sign first that could use my husband's legal expertise. I didn't I initial the part where it said I won't sue or otherwise hold the shop responsible for any error or negligence on the part of the artist or the shop... even if they are at fault.
Lady at counter says,"Wait, you didn't sign this one."
I looked at her and said, "Seriously, you want me to say I won't sue you if you are at fault?"
"It's just a piercing.", she says.
"I agree.", I say, still refusing to initial.
She decides not to press the issue and I got the piercing.
So how's it going? (gross description ahead)
Today was an ugly day. Today it occurred to me that my piercing is actually an open wound right now; A hole in my head. I moved my hair to look at the earring around 11:30am and realized that my ear had been slowly oozing blood and my hair was dried in it and stuck to my ear. Yuck! I'd just cleansed the area with a saline solution earlier this morning and it was fine. I pulled the dried blood from my hair and I cleaned up the wound (again) and it's doing OK.
